Chai Saccharide Cookies

Remember I told you lot virtually my novel love, cardamom?  We had a appointment today.  Well, it was to a greater extent than similar a cardamom-palooza than simply a date ... but let's stick alongside calling it a date.

Chai Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. set down cardamom
3/4 tsp. set down cinnamon
1/2 tsp. set down cloves
1/4 tsp. common salt
1/4 tsp. dark pepper (I used twenty cranks of freshly set down pepper from my pepper mill) 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/2 c. granulated saccharide
2 eggs
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Additional granulated saccharide for rolling


Directions
1.  Mix get-go 8 ingredients (flour through dark pepper) inwards a medium bowl; laid aside.

2.  Beat butter as well as 1 1/2 cups granulated saccharide inwards a large bowl alongside an electrical mixer on medium speed until lite as well as fluffy.  Beat inwards eggs as well as vanilla.  Gradually add together flour mixture, on depression speed of mixer, until good mixed.  Cover as well as refrigerate virtually two hours, or until dough is theatre as well as piece of cake to handle.

3.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Shape dough into 1-inch balls; gyre inwards additional sugar.  Place balls virtually two inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.  Bake 6-8 minutes, or until lightly browned.  Cool on baking sheets 1 minutes.  Remove to wire racks as well as cool completely.
