Yep. The world’s most adorable niggling cast-iron pan. I plainly bought this amongst two-person desserts inwards mind. (Or a single-serve mac ’n cheese. The possibilities are endless, really). Cast-iron pans are a wonderful thing, people. I don’t know why but they are magical too I dearest them. I ain most four, if we’re counting. 


I’ve been on a major summertime fruit boot lately. AKA eating alllll the fresh peaches/nectarines/berries patch I notwithstanding can! An alluvion fruit drawer inwards our fridge is pretty much what inspired this recipe. Oh, too the fact that Grant too I were doing a “no refined sugar” challenge for a few weeks. Yep, this is refined-sugar free! That agency it’s appropriate for breakfast, right? It’s basically your regular morn fruit & oats inwards a to a greater extent than spruced-up form, afterward all.

The fruit cooks downwards to this amazingly-buttery-melt-in-your-mouth texture too it contrasts thence good amongst the crisp & crumbly mixture on top. The kokosnoot saccharide gives a super unique season but don’t worry – it won’t sense of savour coconut-y (something I had to reassure Grant of many times).

Recipe:



  • 1/4 loving cup + i TBS kokosnoot sugar

  • 1/4 loving cup flour

  • 1/4 oats

  • 3 TBS mutual frigidity butter

  • Cinnamon

  • Nutmeg

  • Salt

  • 1 peach

  • Handful of blackberries


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. To brand the topping, combine kokosnoot sugar, flour, oats, too tabular array salt inwards a small-scale mixing bowl. Mix together too then cutting the butter into the mixture, until in that place are semi-even smallish lumps spread throughout. Set aside
